Over the past few years The Carpet Workroom has evolved considerably. What started as a carpet remnant store has now become the top retail carpet showroom in all of New England. We still have a small inventory of carpet remnants but we have mostly updated our offering to include numerous discounted first quality carpet choices that we buy in bulk and sell at a discount. We call this our stocking roll program because aside from the discounted price, these products are available with a shorter lead time and no shipping charge. What frustrated us about the remnants is that a handful of customers would all be vying over the same piece of carpet. We would only have limited stock of the most popular styles and colors. The discounts were greater but you had to be really lucky to find what you wanted. With our new approach we’re able to avoid that issue altogether.
Our stocking roll program is a new offering we launched just over a year ago. Now we have some clients that only shop this collection of broadloom carpets. The carpet styles we select are some of the the top trending carpet styles in the industry but are curated specifically with the New England aesthetic in mind. Styles such as Peter Island Stripe, Cliffside and Antelope are all great examples of carpets we were able to sell at a discount to our clients in 2020.
BENEFITS
The benefits of shopping through our in-stock selections start with one of the most important aspects, price. All of these rolls are discounted and we can confidently say that you wouldn’t see a better price for these materials anywhere else. If you do, please let us know and we’ll consider a price match. The second most important benefit is lead time. Since we have the goods in our warehouse at most times, it is more likely we can install within 2-3 weeks of ordering versus 4-5+ weeks for a mill order. All these styles are durable options, most of them wool, and can be used in a number of settings in your home. You can guarantee these styles will be a mainstay in your home for many years to come. All of these products are broadloom carpet which means they can be fully customized to fit your needs. Because we use these products over and over again, we have an uncanny knowledge required to use these carpets in the most challenging projects.
NOW LET’S GET TO KNOW SOME OF OUR NEW STYLES:
MARCIE – Are you not ready to fully commit to a bold animal print in your home? Try a subtle pattern like “Marcie”. Marcie is a Wilton wool and the color we stock is called “Granite”. This gray color is nice if you’re looking for something a little darker and forgiving with light specks of ivory that really pop! It is very soft under foot and is easy to clean. Marcie can be custom fabricated into area rugs and stair runners but can even be installed wall to wall.
DUPLIN – If you are familiar with our “Cliffside” style, one would say this carpet style is the same. However, Duplin offers a contemporary stria that creates more texture than it’s cousin, Cliffside. It is also a new steel grey color that is different than anything we’ve seen to this point. In some lights it almost casts a light, sky blue making it perfect for the homeowner that likes the idea of color but prefers to stay neutral. The herringbone and stripe combination make any space look elegant no matter what type of home interior you are designing. The best aspect of this product is just how soft it is. It is far more plush than you’re traditional Wilton wool.
JOST VAN DYKE – Last but not least, this new flat woven wool will be a fast seller. It’s similar in style and quality to our Peter Island collection but it’s unique because of the distressed, casual style it represents. This product is especially appealing for those looking for something with a subtle herringbone style in a neutral color. Best yet, this carpet is exceptionally durable for homes with pets, kids and high traffic. If you checked off these boxes then make this carpet style a priority for your next project! Once again, this carpet can be custom fabricated into a stair runner or custom rug but can also be installed wall to wall
