A little piece of me dies while writing this (dramatic, I know) but here is a sneak peak into what you should expect come fall of 2015 in home decor. Fall 2015 home decor trends will be all about mixing styles. I love this idea. For me, I have never had just one style. I’m all for trying out new trends and pairing that style with something I’ve come up with on my own. This process is going to be seen EVERYWHERE. Some may say transitional style is coming in hot. If you have forgotten what this style is, think any style paired with traditional.
Here’s what to expect for fall of 2015 in home decor:
Authenticity: Clients want to know what mill their carpet is coming from. We all want to know the hands or machine behind the scenes. Some of our most popular carpets (sisals) have built-in imperfections…that is what makes them one of a kind.
Rustic
Earth Tones: I’m talking gray, khaki, shades of greens, burnt orange, brown, and shell pink. Earth tones are taking over. These colors gives us a sense of serenity in our hectic lifestyles. Be on lookout for these colors too; Terra-cotta, burgundy, navy, and olive.
Simple, continuous, clean lines
Geometric shapes with contrasting/bold colors
Weaves: Both basket weaves and flat weaves
Honeycomb: Just nature-inspired in general
