Navy Blue Carpet
My mom is always joking about how she wears the same five colors all the time. We’re talking gray, white, black, brown, and navy blue. The thing is, I don’t see the problem with this because those colors go with everything. Never look at neutrals as the “safe” choice. Neutrals are great because you have the ability to play around with patterns and pop colors. Don’t get me wrong, I love my brights and usually levitate towards them but I also find nothing wrong with neutrals. I really want to highlight navy blue this week and share with the world why everyone should hop on board with this color. A few weeks ago, I blogged about navy blue carpet and how there are surprisingly not many choices out there in the design world. So when you do come across a navy blue carpet, they are PERFECT.
Take this one for instance! This Silver Creek product is 100% wool and is referred to as Zia. A deep bold color like navy blue can really showcase bright, happy colors. In a lighter space, a navy blue carpet tends to ground the room, creating a strong feel. Dark blue represents knowledge, power, and integrity so no wonder people want it on their shirt and carpet! Navy blue is a win/win because yes, it is a strong color but it also creates a fresh, serene atmosphere (think your dream Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket cottage).
