If you haven’t heard yet, Marsala was voted color of the year for 2015. Marsala is the perfect mixture of red and brown. Red is sophisticated, while brown gives a natural earthiness feel. The best way Pantone can describe this color would be, “A Hearty Yet Stylish Tone”. However, Pantone’s Marsala color is slightly more pink than your basic brown. Because of this, it works well with metallics. So what makes this color so unique? It is not quite the burgundy that can be seen during the 1970s. They are even saying Marsala is an updated neutral that will be popping up in homes everywhere! Here are some examples of this new color in our carpet:
