Our mission is a simple one: help you transform your house into a home. Using woven textiles to add comfort and style to a home is not new. But the fashions and even the manufacturing technology keeps evolving. One thing remains constant, though; the hands of a craftsman created that carpet or rug out of a series of yarns.
Here at The Carpet Workroom, we strive to ensure that the quality and artistry of the carpet are not forgotten. Your home deserves it.
The story of The Carpet Workroom began over 30 years ago, when our founder, Peter Lovetere, began working in the carpet and rug industry as an apprentice. He quickly learned something very important about the trade: anyone can sell carpet, but delivering a quality product that fits perfectly is an art.
With this in mind, Peter worked hard to support his family with his craft. Decades later, he fulfilled his dream of owning his own carpet store in Needham, Massachusetts. Today, he proudly works alongside his lovely wife and their 3 children.
No project is too big or too small for us here at The Carpet Workroom! We work with individual homeowners, and interior designers, as well as tradesmen and commercial businesses. We take pride in our work and our process.
At The Carpet Workroom we do it all. We’ll help you choose the right materials and design for your space. Then, our expert fabricators will construct your custom carpet. Our professional installation service will ensure your carpet fits perfectly. Our friendly team is eager to help you turn your house into a home!
Transforming your house into a home is easier when you work with craftsmen who value quality work.
As a family business, we know how important it is to bring comfort & style into a home at a reasonable cost. Our staff can help you get the look you want within your budget.
Our Boston based workrooms offer custom fabrication and installation to anywhere in the Northeast.

Project type, timeline, budget. Take photos of your space and submit by email or contact form.
We will share resources as well as images of products and previous projects to help you define the look you are trying to achieve.
Once material is selected, we will schedule a site visit or a meeting in the showroom to construct a plan to customize the material to your specific needs.
The order has been placed, the plans have been written, and the project scheduled. Our team will arrive and turn your vision into reality.
We are so grateful that our custom fabrication, carpet installation, and friendly team continue to gain recognition. It would be our pleasure to bring our award-winning services to your home.

The best way to submit your inquiry is by filling out our “Start the Process Online” form found on our Out of Region page.
As soon as a 60% deposit is received and an order placed for in-stock stair runner material, we schedule installations 4-6 weeks out. If material is non-stocking, it may take longer depending on the timeline.
That’s not a problem! Visit our Out of Region page to learn how we can still work together on your project.
If you have pets in the home, we recommend flat-weave wool, cut pile, and loop pile carpet styles.
