As summer comes to an end and fall quickly approaches, our showrooms are a-buzzin!
If you’re new here, we feature a “Transformation Tuesday” project each week on our social media. We share a little background information about the project – location, if there is a designer attached to the project, and if there is a reason behind why a specific material was selected. The idea is to provide the story of “before” the stair runner or area rug and then showcase the “after” photographs with the runner installed.
We’ve chosen three of August’s top stair runner or area rug transformations to share with readers. Let us know what you think about them!
Making Indoor Outdoor Carpet Elegant (Newton, MA)
For this project, the homeowner had many ideas in mind before their initial visit to our showroom. They toyed with something neutral and realized that wasn’t the look they were going for. Instead, the homeowner selected an indoor/outdoor style called Middleton, in the color Onyx paired with wide cotton binding. They liked how the carpet contrasted with their light-colored walls. The blue wide binding was used to tie in a color from the kitchen, which can be seen from the front entryway. Also, there are kids and pets in the home which is another reason they selected this durable style.
Wide Binding, Nail Heads, Oh my! (Harwich, MA)
This homeowner worked with interior designer Brook Ann Interiors. The client is located in Harwich and wanted something navy and soft, but fun! They chose our roll special, Cliffside Indigo, for their nautical-themed home on the water. When the project first started, the staircase was being built, but we were able to provide some estimates to get the project started. During the process, the homeowner wanted to add wide binding and nail heads. Their inspiration came from our Instagram posts. When it was time to select the binding and nail heads, the homeowner wanted the navy blue binding to match and the nail heads to pair with the railings that were being installed. Brass nail heads were exactly what they were looking for! Check out the process below.
If you love this style as much as we do, feel free to reach out to inquire about a project! Cliffside Indigois discounted which is something everyone loves to hear, and the product is a wilton-wool product.
Custom Cut to Fit Area Rug ( Needham, MA)
The third transformation project for this month is a custom cut-to-fit rug! The homeowner worked with designer Samantha Arak to make this living room area rug come to life. Samantha and her client had been looking for something particular and found it right here in our showroom! It had to be soft, neutral and coordinate with the vibes in the rest of the room and the entire house. What is most unique about this area rug is the purple serging. We love this look and it really makes it different from other area rugs we have seen and done. For projects like this, we do come out and develop a template in order to make sure those cuts are perfect!
